After decades of experience in the development of oil refining additives, some research institutions in China are stepping into the innovation stage.
For example, the additives developed by the petroleum and chemical research institute to reduce the sulfur content of FCC gasoline can change the type of sulfur in the gasoline fraction, that is, to convert thiophene sulfur to mercaptan sulfur, on the premise of little change in conversion rate and product distribution. This can be easily removed by the Merox process, but the conversion rate of thiophene sulfur remains to be improved. Another example is the liquid sulfur transfer agent developed by the refining research institute of luoyang petrochemical engineering company, which can be used in combination with the passivating agent. It is more convenient to use the existing passivating agent filling system in the refinery. The industrial application results of maoming petrochemical company show that the agent has a high performance of SOx removal, which provides a convenient way to reduce the emission of SOx from catalytic cracking unit. It is expected that the pollution of China's refineries will be greatly reduced after the comprehensive promotion.
By referring to relevant materials and combining with the characteristics of China's oil refining technology, the development of oil refining auxiliaries has the following three directions:
①Heavy oil heat exchanger is very easy to fouling and plugging, should continue to develop efficient scale inhibitor. According to the different properties of scale, a series of products are developed.
②according to the characteristics of large catalytic cracking processing capacity in China, a new generation of auxiliary agents, such as octane number auxiliary agent, passivating agent and CO combustion agent, were developed.
③In view of the characteristics of high vanadium content in xinjiang crude oil and high vanadium content in imported Middle East crude oil, a high efficiency auxiliary agent of vanadium passivated was developed.
At present, people's understanding of oil refining auxiliaries is far less than that of oil refining catalysts and additives. While developing desulfurizer and scale inhibitor for FCC gasoline, China should also develop and utilize the following two new additives.
